Early in the catholic faith an idea that Jesus has only one nature instead of the duel nature. Monophysitism is the belief that Jesus does not have separate divine and human natures. This movement spread between the 5th and 6th century at which point this movement was ex-communicated from the Eastern Orthodox Church. This site will help to explain Monophysitism and the two major doctrines: Eutychianism and Apollinarianism.
